Spam Filtering is a service that scrutinizes email, attempting to protect the user from receiving spam mail.
Spamming is the abuse of electronic messaging systems, the act of sending unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately.
The primary spam filtering service offered at Emory is Postini, hosted by Google. Postini is an enterprise anti-spam and anti-virus message management solution for all external mail coming into Emory. It can be used with email, instant messaging, web filtering, and security.
It can also be used with a variety of compliance applications including message archiving, encryption, and policy enforcement. Currently, only internal email spam generated on campus is not scanned by this service.
To login to the Spam Filtering Message Center:
1. Go to: https://enid.emory.edu/myaccount
2. When the login screen appears, enter your Emory Network ID and password.
3. When the Network Account screen appears, look for the link: Login to
Spam/Anti-Virus Service. You will be immediately logged into the Message Center.
