In an effort to assist departments to align themselves for the future with applications they choose to implement, EHC IS has implemented two separate initiatives. Together, the Departmental Support initiative and the New Request Process aim to ensure that the information technology needs of departments are carefully evaluated and implemented in a manner that is consistent with the goals of the organization. The goals of Departmental Support are:

  • To identify the critical department specific applications utilized throughout EHC
  • To understand and document the support needs and create an effective support model for these applications that minimizes the cost to both the organization and the respective department,
  • To provide strategically placed IS support to increase reliability, stability, and availability of applications.
