There are a few areas in which the ITSMO team is involved that are helping Emory achieve and focus on sustainability initiatives. All Business Cases created by the Business Relationship Managers are rated and weighted on ten various criteria - one of which is "how does the project help improve sustainability?" A current active request, managed by Val LaManna working with Finance & Administration, addresses a campus-wide initiative to reduce printer consumption through an enterprise printing consolidation effort.
Obviously, the Marketing & Communications duo (Norman and Nancy) are working actively with Alan Cattier and others within the division to deliver messaging and materials to support and promote awareness - such as this newsletter and the IT Briefing. The Service Management process team, Luciano Dalla Venezia (see the new employees section), has a mission and goal to implement the Remedy Change Management module as one of his first major initiatives. How will this aide in sustainability? It will reduce the volume of paper created and distributed in the weekly Change Review Board meetings.
