Power Automate

What is Power Automate (Formerly Microsoft Flow)?

Emory receives this license as a part of our Microsoft 365 licensing. Power Automate gives you the ability to start creating automation and workflow. It can help you create automated workflows between your favorite apps and services to synchronize files, get notifications, collect data and more.

The main types of flows are automated, button, scheduled, and business process flows.

It's basically an If this - then go do that capability.

Examples:
  1. You can create a Microsoft Form, and connect flow to save data into SharePoint Online.
  2. Every time you receive an email from a particular email address, save the attachment to your O365 Group OneDrive for Business.

It's main advantage over other open services is that all data is retained in our tenant, unless you connect in other 3rd party services.

We are granted benefits under the Flow for Office 365 column here: https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/

Plan 2 allows for additional modeling of multi-stage processes, and connections to other line of business services, and adds Common Data Service capacity.
