Student Technology Support is a free service for Emory students, providing technical support and assistance for a variety of computer related issues on student-owned computers. This hands-on support is available on a walk-in basis Monday - Friday 10a -5p inside the Computing Center at Cox Hall.

Student Tech Support staff can... 

• Setup EmoryUnplugged connectivity on capable laptops and personal devices

• Setup DooleyNet connectivity on residential wireless devices not compatible with EmoryUnplugged

• Scan for and remove computer viruses and other types of malware

• Install the latest LITS-supported anti-virus software and virus definitions

• Install a suite of anti-spyware solutions to combat future infections

• Assist with general operating system troubleshooting

• Install the latest hardware drivers for your machine

• Uninstall programs that pose security risks to your computer, including P2P software

Emory has switched from Symantec to McAfee for its AntiVirus software. You can download and install the new software for free by visiting https://software.emory.edu/express. There you will find a version for both Windows and Mac.
