Data Networks

Data Ports - Infrastructure to connect to Emory networks and Internet services includes the University Academic Network and the Emory Healthcare Network

Remote Access - Options for users at remote locations to access Emory's data network include dial-up and using Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Wireless - Emory's secure, encrypted and authenticated wireless service for faculty, physician, staff, students and official guests.

Email/Calendaring : Emory provides services for routing and reading email and for university-wide calendaring.

Eagle Mail - With certain exceptions, authorized university faculty, staff and students are automatically assigned Eagle Email as their primary email account (netid@emory.edu).

Email Alias - Emory faculty, staff, and students may establish an email address, known as an email alias, that has a professional and identifiable form, such as: John.Doe@emory.edu.

EmoryExchange - EmoryExchange provides Emory with a messaging (email and voice), calendaring, document sharing, and collaboration platform for both computing desktop and mobile environments.

LearnLink - Explore Emory's integrated online community system for faculty and students.

Listserv - An automated electronic mailing list, managed by a listserv program. Listservs are commonly used by discussion groups.

Spam Filtering - Spam filtering for Eagle email users.

Webmail - Access your email over the web via a browser (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari).

Paging : Emory's own paging system, called Simon, used primarily by Emory Healthcare.

Trunked Radio : Emory's system which provides mobile radio communications between multiple talk groups and access to public safety.

Videoconferencing : An interactive communication method used between two or more locations.

Voice Services

Cellular - Cellular services provided by Emory's preferred vendors.

Conference Calls - Options for scheduling of conference bridges for conference calling.

Emergency Phones - Emergency telephones, located across campus, provide a direct link to the Emory Police Department.

Long Distance - Long distance options for faculty, physicians and staff for business use include traditional authorization codes, calling cards, and toll free (800) services.

Phone Directories - Emory phone directories, locators and other resources (some restricted to Emory-only access).

Telephones - Telephone services for departments of Emory University, Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown, and The Emory Clinic.

Telephones: Students - Emory provides corridor telephones for emergency and convenience purposes for outbound calls only.

Voice Mail - Emory's two voice mail systems are Avaya's Modular Messaging and Meridian Mail.
