Printing to Pay-for-Print (EmoryCard) Printers Using Your Personal Laptop

Printing to Pay-for-Print Lab Printers from Your Personal Laptop Students can print from their personal laptops to pay-for-print printers in public computer labs on campus by installing the Pharos Uniprint software found on this page. A valid EmoryCard with Eagle Dollars is required to release print jobs from these print stations. Most labs charge $.08 cents a page for Black & White prints; $.12 cents if you print double-sided (half off the back page). To download the Pharos PC installer for pay-for-print printers, follow the instructions below. Mac users must manually setup Pharos printers!

1. Click on the name of the printer you wish to install, then proceed to Step #2 below to install on your laptop.

2. Choose "Save" to download the file to your computer.
3. Double-click the installer file. 
4. Choose install. 
5. Click finish 
6. You should now be setup to print. Simply choose the selected printer from you list of printers when ready to print. When the Pharos popup box appears, type in your netid and a description of the job. You will use this info to see your job at the print release station. NOTE: Sometimes, you have to run the installers twice! You may also have to set certain printer options in order for features like duplex printing (double-sided) to work. To do this, Right-Click the printer icon on your laptop.
Choose Properties.
Choose Device Settings.
Then scroll down to "Installable Options" and set Duplex to Installed.
