Access: Emory University, Emory Hospital, and Oxford College Emory University, Emory Hospital, and Oxford College all offer cable TV programming services. Each location has a unique line-up. Emory University Cable Television is Emory's own campus wide cable television network which provides a unique programming line up to faculty, staff, and students. Signals are received from satellite dishes and off air antennas located on top of Cox Hall and University Apartment Towers. Emory Television programming is available to all students living in Emory residential buildings. It is also available to Emory faculty and staff upon request. See Getting Started for more information. Emory Television airs 18 foreign language channels, various entertainment channels, most major networks, and other popular programming. There are 11 digital and high definition channels (secondary channels as well) available via Emory cable TV using an over-the-air tuner. For more information see http://it.emory.edu/hdtv. Specialty programming includes Edu.net which broadcasts satellite shows and live events, Emory Vision which airs original student productions and monthly blockbuster movies, and WMRE which airs the student radio station with live studio scenes and campus information slides. Emory Television also provides satellite downlinking capabilities for the campus, and consultation and technical coordination of live campus events. Oxford College receives cable TV programming from Covington Cable in residence halls and some classrooms. Emory University Hospital receives cable TV programming from Comcast Cable in patient rooms and waiting areas. Channel line-ups for these systems are available in PDF-format. |
