Emory Unplugged: Getting Started
The Emory Unplugged wireless network access is typically a fast, convenient solution. Please contact the UTS Service Desk at (404) 727-7777 if you experience difficulties.
Configuration Instructions
1. Emory Unplugged (WPA)
Emory Unplugged is the preferred WPA wireless service for the Emory community. To connect, either follow the instructions below or download the automatic configuration script from the Software Express service at software.emory.edu/express.
Emory Unplugged: Windows 7
These instructions assume you are using Windows's built-in service to control your wireless card. If you are using a different version of the Windows operating system or another software package to manage your wireless card, you may need to reference the instructions that came with your card for information on how to associate your specific wireless card with the EmoryUnplugged wireless access points.
These instructions were designed for standard Mac OS installs. If you find you cannot connect with these instructions, make sure you are using the most current version of the OS and have run Software Updates (located in your System Preferences).
2. Emory Guest
EmoryGuest is provided for official guests of Emory University who have not been granted a Network ID and password for access to Emory accounts. Persons accessing Emory Unplugged as official guests must abide by Emory University's Information Technology Policies, must provide a legitimate email address as contact information, and will NOT have the full bandwidth or privileges that extend to regular Emory Unplugged users.
