Emory Unplugged: Getting Started

Wireless network access is typically a fast, convenient solution; however, by nature it can occasionally be subject to signal interference and service interruption. Faculty, staff and students should consider Emory Unplugged as a convenience when mobility is a key requirement, but should connect to the wired campus network in their offices, residence hall rooms, and classrooms whenever possible. Configuration Instructions1. Emory Unplugged (WPA)Emory Unplugged is the preferred WPA wireless service for the Emory community. To connect, either follow the instructions below or download the automatic configuration script from the Software Express service at software.emory.edu/express 2. Emory GuestEmoryGuest is provided for official guests of Emory University who have not been granted a Network ID and password for access to Emory accounts. Persons accessing Emory Unplugged as official guests must abide by Emory University's Information Technology Policies, must provide a legitimate email address as contact information, and will NOT have the full bandwidth or privileges that extend to regular Emory Unplugged users.
