Whether you're a freshmen or a Ph.D. candidate finishing off your dissertation, this is your site for getting started using technology at Emory. Students here have a wide range of information technology resources available to them. Some products and services are provided by their specific school and/or department, while others are provided centrally by Emory's University Technology Services (UTS). Throughout the academic year, the Office of Information Technology is available to assist students with Internet access connectivity. To assist you with what to bring, Emory University has created hardware and software recommendations for all Emory students and employees. For students wishing to purchase new computers, the Emory Bookstore uses the above-mentioned recommendations to create specially-priced bundles for the Emory community. Emory also provides a variety of software packages for students that are available free-of-charge at Software Express. These include FirstClass/LearnLink, EndNote bibliographic software and more. Emory also provides additional Communication Services for students such as network, cable, phone, and computer support. A suite of Collaboration Services creates a unique online community experience for Emory students. |
