University Exchange: Overview

Exchange Email is the groundwork for a common email and calendaring solution across Emory.

There is support for PDAs such as BlackBerry and devices using GoodLink and ActiveSync (such as the iPhone and Treo). There is also full featured web access through Outlook Web Access.

There's also full integration with other Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). This service will also provide the foundation for Modular Messaging.

Our Objectives
Provide a seamless and easy to use email and calendaring solution across the Emory enterprise. Consolidate multiple email services where appropriate.

In the Future - An Update
The Messaging Team met with Local Support contacts across the University and at Oxford. They presented current supported applications information along with information on the future migration to Exchange 2010. Below is the presentation discussed at the briefing:
