Our Student Team

Student Digital Life (SDL) is a unit of Academic Technologies that supports undergraduate and graduate technology facilities, the student printing service, the Student Technology Support desk, and various specialized technology spaces and services.

Our student consultants and technicians work to ensure the best technology experience in the Computing Center at Cox Hall, at the Learning Commons in Woodruff Library and labs across campus.  Our student eligible positions include:

Student technology consultants: provide support throughout SDL spaces for all printing, workstation hardware and software, scanning, recreational gaming, microforms and collaboration technologies and services.  Student staff also circulate equipment specific to SDL spaces and make referrals to LITS and other Emory services. In addition, they provide facility and maintenance support to ensure our spaces remain inviting and clean environments.

Student technicians: provide technical support and assistance for a variety of issues on student-owned devices at Student Technology Support (STS) on the 1st floor of Woodruff Library.  This service is a free service available to all Emory students on a first-come, first-served basis. Most issues are handled relatively quickly on a walk-in basis, while some more complicated issues require a device to be checked in for further evaluation and diagnostic testing by our student technicians.
