Web Hosting: Overview

Access: Approved Emory University Faculty, Staff, and Students UTS has recently redesigned and restructured its centralized Web hosting environment. This new set of offerings for developers includes a rich tool set that enables Web developers to create highly functional Web sites & Web applications, while maintaining a high level security and the ability to have granular access for ongoing content maintenance. This hosting environment has full backup/restore, ongoing server maintenance & administration, proactive monitoring and a high-level of availability. Users with more advanced needs, including database connectivity or scripting languages, should open a help request with the Web group to determine the availability of appropriate technologies. Personal web pages: are available through a different service. Please see the documentation for more information. WebDrive file sharing: is also available through a different service. |
