Emory University OIT Change Freeze Dates and Guidance

• Please follow maintenance windows associated with your particular application or infrastructure service provided by your leadership teams.
• Please follow the Change Management Process Guidelines, in addition to any application or infrastructure procedures your teams may have in place.  
• Please ensure that team specific procedures are captured in the ServiceNow Knowledgebase

• During the Change Freeze, Changes to production environments are restricted to ensure our services and applications remain stable, supported, and available.
• Changes should be submitted in enough time to implement the change before the freeze dates.
• The Change Advisory Board will not meet during the change freeze period.

• Exceptions to change freeze must be pre-approved by OIT Leadership.
• Emergency changes, changes implemented to resolve a major incident should be submitted for review by the eCAB.
• Changes to be implemented to avoid a service disruption should be submitted according to standard change management process once OIT Leadership approval has been received.  Please note the approver when submitting a change. The OIT Service Management On-Call Resource will obtain CAB approval and advise the implementer if the change has been approved and provide additional guidance as needed.
