SMCC Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create a self-governing culture that enables the definition and enforcement of recommended policies and procedures across the IT Service Management community.
  • Ensure that the represented organizations are adhering to best practice and defined processes and procedures.
  • Make decisions on operational efficiencies, terminology, system usage, policies and procedures some of which require organizational input, feedback, and review. 
  • Identify additional resources required for the successful execution of the SMCC’s charge.
  • Ensure inclusive communication, actively share information, solicit ideas, and provide updates to internal IT parties, external partners, and end users regarding the roadmap, timelines, successes, and challenges. 
  • Ensure all activities, decisions and work efforts are action oriented and outcome driven.
