University Governance Project Request

The University IT governance structure is comprised of seven subcommittees and one steering committee. University and Healthcare projects have separate IT governance committees and processes.

Information technology initiatives that anticipate work will be greater than 10 person-days or $20,000 must be submitted through a project request to the governance process for review and approval. Work reviewed and evaluated is that which:

  • Intersects with central IT applications or,
  • Requires an interface to central IT applications.

The university governance process provides a consistent, transparent mechanism across the Emory enterprise for proposing, evaluating, prioritizing and tracking IT work that requires central IT resources. University and Healthcare enterprise project requests undergo separate review processes.
