The Emory Covered Component, or Emory Covered Entity, must conform to all rules set forth in the HIPAA regulations. The policies of the Covered Entity apply to all Emory units of the Covered Entity including the

• Emory University Student Health Service
• Psychological Center
• University Counseling Center
• Oxford College Student Health Service and Counseling Center.

The Emory Covered Entity HIPAA Policies apply to health care providers, clinical and other researchers, and all employees who assist these providers and researchers in performing tasks related to health care, clinical research or other research that utilizes individually identifiable health information.
