TechLab offers an HTC Vive virtual reality headset for use by Emory faculty, staff, and students.
Located in the back of the Computing Center, the Vive is available Mondays through Thursdays from noon to 7:30pm and on Fridays from noon to 4:30pm. Walk-in use is permitted, although we encourage reservations through our SDL Resource Scheduler. See our reservation policies below for more information.

Rules of Play:
Only the current player may be in the designated VR play area during active use. No one else may enter the VR play area, touch the player, or otherwise interfere with play. Non-playing members of the group must enforce this policy for the safety and security of the player.
Only groups of 2 or more may reserve the VR headset. Individual players must find a second person to accompany them.
Players may log into their own Steam account or use our account.
Players must take great care with the equipment. Players may not drop the headset, touch its lenses, set the headset down face-first, or otherwise mishandle the equipment. Players are responsible for any repair or replacement costs that result from their misuse of the equipment.
The VR headset and controllers must be reserved by noon of the prior weekday, using the SDL Resource Scheduler. Monday requests must be submitted by noon on Fridays.
Use of these spaces is mediated. Requesting individuals will receive an email once their request has been processed.
The headset may be reserved up to one hour per day per requesting individual.
The headset may be reserved up to 14 days in advance.
Groups arriving 15 or more minutes late after their scheduled start time will forfeit their entire reservation.
Academic use of the VR headset takes priority over recreational gaming use.
